The Seacoast Mavericks (3-4) beat the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (5-2) 8-5 on Thursday at Leary Field behind Ryder Arsenault, who drove in three runs.

Evan Flood had an impressive outing against the Marthas Vineyard Sharks' lineup. Flood held the Marthas Vineyard Sharks hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Ryan Kelly racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He homered in the fifth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Ben Skuro brought the heat against the Seacoast Mavericks during his outing. Skuro held the Seacoast Mavericks hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Tom Hudon recorded his second win for the Seacoast Mavericks even though he allowed five runs over six innings. Hudon struck out three, walked one and gave up five hits.

Soren Hanson couldn't get it done on the mound for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
