A walk-off single from Derek Gallello brought home the winning run for the Carolina Vipers (19-19) in a 7-6 victory over the Statesville Owls at Charlotte Latin on Tuesday.

Gallello was hot from the plate for the Carolina Vipers. Gallello went 0-0 and scored one run. He singled in the ninth inning.

Ashton Cox boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace the Carolina Vipers. He singled in the third, fifth, and sixth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Eric Sigovich recorded his second win of the year for the Carolina Vipers. He allowed two runs over one inning. Sigovich struck out none, walked one and gave up two hits.

Heath King ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
