The Concord Weavers (9-31) and the Lake Norman Copperheads (15-25) each put runners in scoring position on Friday, but the Concord Weavers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 3-2 win at Cox Mill HS.

Austin Fox got on base three times in the game for the Concord Weavers. He singled in the first and eighth innings.

The Lake Norman Copperheads' lineup had no answer for Josh Bottenfield. The Lake Norman Copperheads managed just three hits off of the the Concord Weavers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his three innings of work.

Nathan Sharp went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Lake Norman Copperheads. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Ryan Brennan (1-2) took the loss for the Lake Norman Copperheads. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
