A walk-off single from Connor Bodenhamer brought home the winning run for the Statesville Owls (16-18) in a 4-3 victory over the Lake Norman Copperheads (13-24) at Statesville High School on Monday.
Bodenhamer was hot from the plate for the Statesville Owls. Bodenhamer went 1-4 and drove in one. He singled in the ninth inning.
Connor Dailey improved to 2-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Statesville Owls. He allowed one run over three innings. Dailey struck out three, walked one and gave up three hits.
Devan Bagwell was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
