The Carolina Vipers (16-15) beat the Concord Weavers (7-25) 6-2 on Wednesday at Cox Mill HS behind Tommy Bullock, who went 2-4.
He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh innings.Zach Huneycutt picked up the win for the Carolina Vipers. Huneycutt allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings of work.
Josh Bottenfield put together a nice outing. Bottenfield held the Carolina Vipers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.
Zach Finch was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.
