Hampton helps the SBA Bones down the Carolina Vipers 4-3

Reece Hampton went 2-5 as the SBA Bones (18-10) took home a 4-3 victory over the Carolina Vipers (16-15) at Charlotte Christian on Friday.

He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Andrew Loepprich handled the Carolina Vipers' lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Loepprich allowed one earned run, three hits and no walks over six innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Carolina Vipers' Derek Gallello. Gallello went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Nick Norton had an impressive outing against the SBA Bones' lineup. The SBA Bones managed just one hit off of the the Carolina Vipers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Conner Davis improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the SBA Bones. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Corey Mason ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
