Collin Manning held the Lake Norman Copperheads (9-16) scoreless for eight innings to boost the Carolina Vipers (12-12) to a 3-0 victory.

Manning struck out one and allowed two walks and five hits.

Derek Gallello had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first and sixth innings.

Despite the loss, the Lake Norman Copperheads' Austin Hancock dominated the Carolina Vipers' batters, giving up one run and striking out eight.

Hancock (1-4) took the loss for the Lake Norman Copperheads.
