Chase Poplin held the Carolina Vipers scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on five hits while ringing up five.

Philip Perry (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
