Tanner Poole collected three hits, helping the Piedmont Pride (12-3) to a 6-2 victory over the Lake Norman Copperheads (5-10) on Friday at Hopewell HS.

Jared Waldhoff picked up the win for the Piedmont Pride. Waldhoff allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings of work.

Jamie Honeycutt (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked five, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
