Jake Barbee went 2-4, helping the Piedmont Pride (6-2) to a 3-1 victory over the Statesville Owls (3-5) on Friday at Statesville Aggies Home Field.
He singled in the first and second innings.Zack Kamerman struck out six hitters en route to the the Piedmont Pride win. Kamerman allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk over five innings.
Despite the loss, the Statesville Owls' Connor Dailey dominated the Piedmont Pride's batters, giving up three runs and striking out six.
Dailey was charged with his second loss of the year.
