The SBA Bones (14-7) beat the Statesville Owls (10-12) 9-6 on Wednesday at Statesville Aggies Home Field behind Reece Hampton, who went 3-3 at the plate.

Erik Markwat pitched lights out for the SBA Bones. The Statesville Owls managed just one hit off of the the SBA Bones' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his two innings of work.

Alex Minton had a hot bat for the Statesville Owls. Minton went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Ryder Ryan recorded his first win of the year for the SBA Bones. Ryan struck out five, walked two and gave up one hit.

Landon Fraley (0-1) took the loss for the Statesville Owls. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
