Both the Brewster Whitecaps (18-14) and the Bourne Braves (14-16) put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the Brewster Whitecaps that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-4 win at Stony Brook.

Jack Meggs reached base three times in the game for the Brewster Whitecaps. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the seventh innings.

Corey Julks was hot from the plate for the Bourne Braves. Julks went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the second inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Nick Highberger recorded his second win of the year for the Brewster Whitecaps. Highberger struck out none, walked none and gave up three hits.

Cody Sedlock (1-1) took the loss for the Bourne Braves. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
