Nick McBride came off the bench and never even had to swing his bat as McBride reached on a error in the six to lead the Frontier Greys (17-19) to a 5-3 win over the River City Rascals (21-15) on Saturday at T. R. Hughes Ballpark.

With the Frontier Greys trailing by two in the sixth inning, reached on an error, bringing home Brandon Tierney.

Shane Brown had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fifth and sixth innings and singled in the eighth inning.

The River City Rascals had no answer for Brett Shankin, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Shankin held the River City Rascals hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Colin Feldtman improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Frontier Greys. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings. Feldtman struck out four, walked none and gave up eight hits.

Clay Smith (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
