Despite the loss, the River City Rascals' Lucas Laster dominated the Gateway Grizzlies' batters, giving up two runs and striking out 10.

Brett Zawacki improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Gateway Grizzlies. Zawacki struck out three, walked none and gave up no hits.

Zeb Sneed (2-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
