J D Arrowood went 2-3, sparking the Peninsula Oilers (16-21) to a 1-0 victory in seven innings over the Anchorage Bucs (20-19) on Thursday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
He singled in the first and sixth innings.The Anchorage Bucs' lineup had no answer for Cameron Stanton. The Anchorage Bucs managed just one hit off of Stanton, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out one during his five innings of work.
Taylor Jones allowed no earned runs, six hits and no walks while striking out four over six innings of work.
Jones ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year.
