The Chugiak Chinooks outlast the Anchorage Bucs in extras, 6-3

The Chugiak Chinooks (8-4) outlasted the Anchorage Bucs (4-7) at Mulcahy Field 6-3 on Monday after 13 innings.

With the score tied at three, Cameron Baranek came to the plate and tripled, plating Tyler Boxwell, Caleb Potter and Patrick Cromwell.

Baranek racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Chugiak Chinooks. He singled in the twelfth inning and tripled in the thirteenth inning.

The Anchorage Bucs couldn't get anything going as long as Ted Christie was pitching. The Anchorage Bucs managed just one hit off of Christie, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Jeremy McDonald pitched lights out for the Anchorage Bucs. The Chugiak Chinooks managed just three hits off of the the Anchorage Bucs' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out four during his six innings of work.

Travis Stone improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Chugiak Chinooks. Stone struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Ed Voyles (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
