The Matsu Miners (29-8) beat the Alaska Goldpanners (12-24) 3-2 on Thursday at Growden Memorial Park behind Chris Hall, who collected three hits.
He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.Zach Warren racked up six strikeouts in the the Matsu Miners win. Warren allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks over six innings.
Austin O'Banion was hot from the plate for the Alaska Goldpanners. O'Banion went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second inning and homered in the sixth inning.
Alex Torson was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
