The Anchorage Glacier Pilots fourth-inning burst enough to top the Chugiak Chinooks, 8-1

A six-run explosion in the fourth inning hoisted the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (22-18) to an 8-1 win over the Chugiak Chinooks (15-22) at Loretta French Field on Thursday.

The Anchorage Glacier Pilots scored in the fourth on a two-run double by Jonny Locher, a two-run home run by Alex Tuccio, an RBI triple by JJ Wagner, and an RBI double by Kyle Watson.

Watson had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits.

Will Hibbs struck out six hitters en route to the the Anchorage Glacier Pilots win. The Anchorage Glacier Pilots' pitcher gave up just five hits over five shutout innings.

A bright spot for the Chugiak Chinooks in the defeat was Travis Stone, who allowed only zero runs while striking out six.

Braxton Wilks was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked five, struck out three, and allowed four runs.

Locher, Tuccio, Watson and Wagner helped lead the Anchorage Glacier Pilots. They combined for seven hits and seven RBIs.
