The Anchorage Glacier Pilots (21-18) jumped on the Chugiak Chinooks (15-21) early on their way to a 5-2 win on Wednesday at Mulcahy Field, scoring five runs in the first inning.

The Anchorage Glacier Pilots scored in the first on an RBI double by Kyle Watson, an RBI triple by Kevin Viers, an RBI single by Adalberto Carrillo, an RBI double by Joe Wainhouse, and an RBI triple by Eugene Vazquez.

Wainhouse had two extra-base hits for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots.

Drew Jacobs struck out seven hitters en route to the the Anchorage Glacier Pilots win. Jacobs allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks over six innings.

CJ Lewington brought the heat against the Anchorage Glacier Pilots during his outing. Lewington held the Anchorage Glacier Pilots hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Lucas Hamelink was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed five runs.

The Anchorage Glacier Pilots were sparked by Vazquez and Wainhouse, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.
