Nick Meservey did his part on the bump, but it wasn't enough to carry the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (9-11) to a win on Wednesday, as the Anchorage Glacier Pilots fell to the Anchorage Bucs (8-11) 1-0 at Mulcahy Field in 12 innings.

Meservey baffled the Anchorage Bucs, striking out 12 batters. The Anchorage Glacier Pilots' pitcher tossed nine innings of shutout ball and allowed only one hit.

Jim Voyles improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Anchorage Bucs. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Joe Wainhouse (0-1) took the loss for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
