Alex Garcia hopes every outing could go as well as Sunday, as Garcia tossed a no-hitter to carry the Anchorage Bucs (7-9) to a 2-0 victory over the Anchorage Glacier Pilots at Mulcahy Field.
Taylor Walls was solid at the plate for the Anchorage Bucs. Walls went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the first and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.
Will Hibbs handled the Anchorage Bucs' lineup with ease, racking up three strikeouts. The Anchorage Glacier Pilots (7-10)'s pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only five hits.
Garcia got the win, running his season record to 2-0. Garcia struck out eight, walked one and gave up no hits.
Jordan Aboites ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
