The Lorain County Ironmen (0-4) didn't stand a chance on Sunday, as the Hamilton Joes (2-2) captured a blowout 9-3 win at Foundation Field.

A two-run single by Kevin Dupree delivered the runs in the eighth. The Hamilton Joes had two hits in the inning.

Andy Young reached base three times in the game for the Hamilton Joes. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He tripled in the third innings.

Chase Thurston brought the heat against the Lorain County Ironmen during his outing. Thurston held the Lorain County Ironmen hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

The Lorain County Ironmen were led by Zack Zyburt's hitting. Zyburt went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

Zac Carey improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Hamilton Joes. He allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings. Carey struck out none, walked none and gave up seven hits.

Chris McDonald (0-1) took the loss for the Lorain County Ironmen. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
