The Southern Illinois Miners (1-2) didn't stand a chance on Wednesday, as the Schaumburg Boomers (6-2) captured a blowout 14-4 win at Rent One Park.

The Schaumburg Boomers scored five runs in the third on the Schaumburg Boomers scored in the third on a two-run home run by Tony Delmonico, a two-run triple by Jordan Dean, and a sacrifice fly by Michael Valadez.

The Schaumburg Boomers hammered the Southern Illinois Miners pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 13 hits, eight RBIs and 12 runs scored.
