Mat Pirro kept the Bethesda Big Train (3-2) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Baltimore Redbirds (3-1) beat the Bethesda Big Train, 7-0.

Pirro allowed five hits, three walks and struck out seven.

The Baltimore Redbirds blew out the Bethesda Big Train thanks to 13 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Baltimore Redbirds scored three runs in the sixth on the Baltimore Redbirds scored in the sixth on an RBI single by JB Woodman and a two-run home run by Mac Caples.

Caples racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Baltimore Redbirds.

Brandon Rhodes couldn't get it done on the hill for the Bethesda Big Train, taking a loss. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
