Hans Ask went 2-3 as the Regina Red Sox (3-0) took home a 4-2 victory over the Yorkton Cardinals (0-3) at Jubilee Park on Monday.

Kameron Mizzell had two extra-base hits for the Yorkton Cardinals. He doubled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Aaron Dick brought the heat against the Regina Red Sox during his outing. The Regina Red Sox managed just one hit off of the the Yorkton Cardinals' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Kevin Hand improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Regina Red Sox. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered six hits.

Cole Roark (0-1) took the loss for the Yorkton Cardinals. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out eight, and allowed four runs.
