Blake Rowlett went 1-4, sparking the Medicine Hat Mavericks (3-1) to a 6-1 victory over the Moose Jaw Miller Express (1-3) on Monday at Ross Wells Park.

The Moose Jaw Miller Express had no answer for Bryce Feia, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Feia gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Kenton Schroter recorded his second win of the year for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He allowed one run over 4 2/3 innings. Schroter struck out three, walked one and gave up three hits.

Jason Renner ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
