The Okotoks Dawgs (0-2) built an early edge on Saturday, but the Lethbridge Bulls (2-0) roared back to steal a 2-1 victory at Spitz Stadium.

An RBI single by Cody Stewart gave the Lethbridge Bulls the lead in the ninth inning.

The Lethbridge Bulls were led by Bretton Gouthro's hitting. Gouthro went 2-4 and scored one run. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Scott Cone pitched eight innings and allowed no earned runs, seven hits and one walk while striking out four.

Chris Sievers was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Lethbridge Bulls batters and allowing zero runs.

Dylan Hastings got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Hastings struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.

Travis McDonald was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
