The Roswell Invaders (33-24) shut the door early on the White Sands Pupfish (25-29), capturing a 15-1 victory on Saturday at Alamogordo NM.
With nine runs in the first three innings, the Roswell Invaders left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
A fielder's choice, an RBI single by Evan Mansell, a two-run home run by Ryan Normoyle, an RBI triple by Mike Kerns, an RBI triple by Joe Miller, and an RBI single by Michael Ormseth during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Roswell Invaders.Kerns racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Roswell Invaders.
Ormseth struck out six hitters en route to the the Roswell Invaders win. Ormseth allowed no earned runs, six hits and no walks over five innings.
Nick Hernandez (2-5) took the loss for the White Sands Pupfish. He allowed seven runs in zero innings, walked one and struck out none.
The Roswell Invaders easily handled the White Sands Pupfish pitching as seven hitters combined for 13 hits, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
