Brandon Bailey was cold coming off the bench, but Bailey warmed up quickly as Bailey stroked a key pinch-hit triple in the seven to lead the Derby (KS) Twins (4-1) to an 8-3 win over the San Diego (CA) Force (3-2) on Thursday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
With the score tied at three in the seventh inning, Bailey came to the plate and tripled.
The Derby (KS) Twins were led by Dylan Dillard's hitting. Dillard went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and seventh innings.
Timothy Leary had two extra-base hits for the San Diego (CA) Force. He doubled in the sixth and eighth innings.
Bailey improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Derby (KS) Twins. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.
