Austin Drummonds went 1-3 and hit a home run, sparking the Yorkton Cardinals (9-13) to a 4-2 victory in seven innings over the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (10-14) on Wednesday at Jubilee Park.

The Saskatoon Yellow Jackets had no answer for Max Chadsey, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Chadsey held the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets hitless over 3 2/3 innings, allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out two.

Bryan Heward was solid at the plate for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. Heward went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.

Vin Whitenight recorded his first win of the year for the Yorkton Cardinals. Whitenight struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.

Dylan Hendricks couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
