Roman Lorentz kept the Yorkton Cardinals (19-27) off the board during his six innings of work and the Weyburn Beavers (20-26) beat the Yorkton Cardinals, 8-5.

Lorentz struck out nine and allowed two walks and two hits.

Javy Marticorena racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Weyburn Beavers. He doubled in the third and fifth innings.

Clay Rideout ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
