An outstanding effort by Andres Hernandez spurred the Coral Springs Canes (2-3) to a 2-1 win over the Palm Beach Xtreme (1-4) on Monday at Spanish River High School.

Hernandez struck out eight hitters en route to the the Coral Springs Canes win. Hernandez allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks over nine innings.

Jose Parra was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
