The Rockville Express (24-16) beat the Bethesda Big Train (31-9) 5-2 on Saturday at Montgomery College behind Brandon Benson, who drove in three runs.

The Rockville Express relied on Sadiq Burkholder to eat up innings en route to the win. Burkholder allowed one earned run, five hits and five walks while striking out five over nine innings of work.

Stephen Alemais reached base three times in the game for the Bethesda Big Train. He singled in the second and fourth innings.

Bo Logan brought the heat against the Rockville Express during his outing. Logan held the Rockville Express hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.

Alex Calvert ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
