Jordan Dean went 1-2, sparking the Schaumburg Boomers (5-5) to a 6-1 victory in seven innings over the Gateway Grizzlies (8-3) on Wednesday at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium.

Rey Rodriguez brought the heat against the Gateway Grizzlies during his outing. The Gateway Grizzlies managed just two hits off of Rodriguez, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out five during his six innings of work.

Dejai Oliver (2-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked six and struck out none.
