Friday was a great day for Scott Kuzminsky, as Kuzminsky tossed a shutout to carry the Seattle (WA) Studs (5-1) to a 2-0 victory over the Hays (KS) Larks (4-2) at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
Kuzminsky held the Hays (KS) Larks scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on three hits while striking out nine.
Bobby LeCount had a hot bat for the Seattle (WA) Studs. LeCount went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the ninth inning.
Jake Fromson was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Seattle (WA) Studs batters and allowing one run.
Fromson (1-1) took the loss for the Hays (KS) Larks.
