Nolan Barraza collected three hits, helping the San Diego (CA) Waves (2-1) to a 7-6 victory over the Wellington (KS) Heat (1-2) on Monday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the second and seventh innings.

Luke Doyle put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Wellington (KS) Heat. He doubled in the third and sixth innings and singled in the eighth inning.

Brandon McMillan brought the heat against the San Diego (CA) Waves during his outing. The San Diego (CA) Waves managed just two hits off of McMillan, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.
