Scott Kuzminsky hopes every outing could go as well as Sunday, as Kuzminsky struck out seven batters to carry the Seattle (WA) Studs (2-1) to a 3-1 victory over the San Francisco (CA) Seals (1-2) at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Jose Ruiz was solid at the plate for the Seattle (WA) Studs. Ruiz went 3-5 and drove in one. He singled in the first, fifth, and seventh innings.

A bright spot for the San Francisco (CA) Seals in the defeat was James McReynolds, who allowed only two runs while striking out six.

McReynolds was charged with his first loss of the year.
