A great effort by Cory Rhodes spurred the Haysville (KS) Aviators (3-0) to a 6-1 win over the San Diego (CA) Force (2-1) on Tuesday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Rhodes struck out 13 hitters en route to the the Haysville (KS) Aviators win. Rhodes allowed one earned run on five hits and no walks over nine innings.

Luke Huerta racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Haysville (KS) Aviators. He tripled in the second inning.

Josh Makler pitched lights out for the San Diego (CA) Force. Makler held the Haysville (KS) Aviators hitless over 3 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three.

Josh Ferrell couldn't get it done on the bump for the San Diego (CA) Force, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
