Kyle Johnston collected three hits, sparking the Kansas Cannons (3-1) to a 6-1 victory over the Puerto Rico National Team (2-2) on Tuesday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

He doubled in the first inning and singled in the sixth and seventh innings.

Jordan Plank got the win for the Kansas Cannons thanks to seven strikeouts. Plank allowed one earned run, four hits and three walks over seven innings.

Abdiel Alicea reached base three times in the game for the Puerto Rico National Team. He singled in the seventh inning.

Marco Blanchard handled the Kansas Cannons' lineup with ease, racking up eight strikeouts. Blanchard allowed no earned runs on eight hits and one walk over seven innings.

Blanchard couldn't get it done on the bump for the Puerto Rico National Team, taking a loss.
