Evan VanSumeren went 2-3, sparking the Haysville (KS) Aviators (2-0) to a 4-1 victory over the Puerto Rico National Team (1-1) on Sunday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Andrew Clemen picked up the win for the Haysville (KS) Aviators. Clemen pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and five walks while striking out four.

Abdiel Alicea led the Puerto Rico National Team's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the fifth and eighth innings.

Roy Geigel handled the Haysville (KS) Aviators' lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. Geigel allowed four earned runs, eight hits and no walks over eight innings.

Geigel (0-1) took the loss for the Puerto Rico National Team.
