Both the Wichita (KS) Sluggers (1-1) and the Albuquerque (NM) Diablos (0-2) put runners aboard on Sunday, but it was the Wichita (KS) Sluggers that were able to take advantage, pulling out an 8-3 win at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Brady Hoover had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the sixth and seventh innings and singled in the eighth inning.

Jordan Miller picked up the win for the Wichita (KS) Sluggers. Miller allowed no earned runs, five hits and four walks while striking out two over six innings of work.

Daniel Brennan was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked six, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
