Josh Clark went 2-3 as the Ballantyne Smokies (22-12) took home a 4-1 victory over the Lake Norman Copperheads (18-15) in seven innings at Ardrey Kell HS on Saturday.
He singled in the second and fourth innings.Brandon Donahue's nine strikeouts were enough to push the Ballantyne Smokies past the Lake Norman Copperheads. The Ballantyne Smokies' pitcher gave up just two hits over five shutout innings.
Joseph Padgett ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
