Daniel Stack went 4-4 at the plate, sparking the Lake Norman Copperheads (18-13) to a 9-5 victory in seven innings over the Carolina Vipers (10-23) on Friday at Hopewell HS.
He singled in the first, third, fourth, and sixth innings.Taylor Cox pitched lights out for the Lake Norman Copperheads. Cox held the Carolina Vipers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Hunter Dodson got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered two hits.
Patrick Haynes (1-4) took the loss for the Carolina Vipers. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked two and struck out two.
