A walk-off error from Dalton Eisenbath brought home the winning run for the Ballantyne Smokies (9-5) in a 3-2 victory over the Statesville Owls (9-6) at Ardrey Kell HS on Friday.
The Ballantyne Smokies were led by a flawless day at the dish by Mitchell Price, who went 2-2 against the Statesville Owls' pitching. He singled in the first and ninth innings.
Ben Taylor got the win, running his season record to 4-0. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered one hit.
Devan Watts couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Statesville Owls, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed one run.
