The Pompano Beach Clippers (2-5) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 2-1 to the Palm Beach Blazers (7-2) on Monday.

While the Pompano Beach Clippers led until the sixth inning, the Palm Beach Blazers worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Louis Reyes.

Tony Dimaio's five strikeouts helped the Palm Beach Blazers to the victory. Dimaio allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk over six innings.

Adam Ogburn was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
