Both the Palm Beach Xtreme (7-14) and the Coral Springs Canes (2-10) put runners aboard on Thursday, but it was the Palm Beach Xtreme that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 6-3 win at Spanish River High School.

It was a good day at the plate for the Palm Beach Xtreme's J.J. Rodriguez. Rodriguez went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first, third, and seventh innings.

Alex Ernestine got the win for the Palm Beach Xtreme thanks to five strikeouts. Ernestine allowed one earned run on five hits and three walks over 5 2/3 innings.

Matt Duggan got on base four times in the game for the Coral Springs Canes. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first and third innings.

Brennen Rodriquez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked seven, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
