The Palm Beach Xtreme (3-7) and the South Florida Breakers (4-3) both had scoring chances on Monday, but it was the Palm Beach Xtreme that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 2-1 win at Spanish River High School.
The Palm Beach Xtreme relied on Robert Guarnieri to eat up innings en route to the win. Guarnieri allowed one earned run, five hits and three walks while striking out three over six innings of work.
Dustin Hanley (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
