Derek Jacobs hopes every outing could go as well as Monday, as Jacobs threw a shutout to carry the Palm Beach Xtreme (11-18) to a 4-0 victory over the South Florida Breakers (10-12) at Spanish River High School.
Jacobs held the South Florida Breakers scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on five hits while ringing up two.
Jordan Jackson racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Palm Beach Xtreme. He homered in the sixth innings.
Duncan Reynolds was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just eight innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
