Weeks' effort not enough in the South Florida Breakers' 7-2 loss

Not even a strong hitting and pitching performance from Corbin Weeks could carry the South Florida Breakers (4-5) past the Boca Raton Lightning at Miller Park on Friday as the South Florida Breakers suffered a 7-2 defeat.

Weeks was solid at the plate for the South Florida Breakers. Weeks went 2-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Weeks pitched lights out for the South Florida Breakers. Weeks held the Boca Raton Lightning (4-6) hitless over two-thirds of an inning, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out none.

Jason Hanson was solid at the plate for the Boca Raton Lightning. Hanson went 2-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth innings.

Craig Savage improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Boca Raton Lightning. He allowed one run over six innings. Savage struck out five, walked one and gave up nine hits.

Dallas Gibson (0-2) took the loss for the South Florida Breakers. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
