The Boca Raton Lightning (16-13) jumped on the Florida Pokers (8-13) early on their way to a 5-2 win on Friday at Miller Park, scoring three runs in the first inning.

The Boca Raton Lightning scored in the first on a two-run double by Kadeem Octave and an RBI single by Sixto Rafi Guerrero.

Octave racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Boca Raton Lightning.

Marcus Crescentini put together a nice outing. The Florida Pokers managed just one hit off of Crescentini, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his three innings of work.

Austin Edwards got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over three innings. Edwards struck out one, walked none and gave up four hits.

Miguel Castellanos couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Florida Pokers, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
